The Atelier is a freehold condo located in District 9 within the Newton / Novena neighbourhood. With the development offering a total of 120 residential units within its 41,582 sq ft land area as well as top-notch facilities, the residents can look forward to convenient and exciting city life while staying at The Atelier.

Located off Makeway Avenue, The Atelier is one of Singapore’s most convenient residential locations due to its connectivity. The development is a short few minutes’ walk to Newton MRT Station, an interchange between Downtown Line and North-South Line. The location is also one stop away from Orchard MRT Station, where you can quickly drop off for the famous Orchard Road Shopping Belt, as well as Novena MRT Station.

The company behind the development of The Atelier is Bukit Sembawang Estates Limited. With more than half a century’s worth of experience in the property industry, they have become a leading company in residential development. Their recent projects include Luxus Hills, Nim Collection, 8 St Thomas, and Liv @ MB.

The Atelier is located inside the Core Central Region (CCR) in District 9, one of Singapore’s most popular residential enclaves. That means The Atelier will undoubtedly become a highly sought-after property with a great market value as soon as it is launched.

The development is perfect for the urbanites. For instance, access to public transportation is convenient, reputable schools are easily found in the neighbourhood, and there are plenty of public amenities and facilities within a short distance away. These translate to The Atelier as a desirable home for single individuals, couples, and families with young kids. On top of that, the condo is also within URA’s Master Plan for the Central Area. That means the residents can expect to see positive changes and developments in amenities, accessibility, job opportunities, and general quality of life, which equals a pleasant and comfortable living.

One of the biggest perks of living at The Atelier is its access to public transportation. The development is only 5 minutes’ walk away from Newton MRT Station on the Downtown Line and North South Line. Both MRT lines have extensive coverage of Northern, Southern, and Eastern Singapore, making travel to these parts of the country a breeze.

For bus users, the Opp Newton FC bus stop is right outside the condo building, which makes it convenient for travel around the neighbourhood. Those who prefer driving instead will have no problem to do so since main roads and expressways, such as the Dunearn Road, Bukit Timah Road, and Central Expressway, are close by.

Freehold development projects have plenty of advantages for both own-stay buyers and investors, making them incredibly sought-after assets.

Freehold Properties are Valuable

In recent years, the government is putting on hold the selling of freehold land parcels, which means freehold properties, like The Atelier, will become rarer in the future. On top of that, The Atelier is also very close to an MRT station, which is highly uncommon among all apartments and condominiums in Singapore.

In terms of the public’s perception, freehold properties are often desirable because it is possible for buyers to own them for an indefinite amount of time. That leads the public to see them as a means of wealth preservation. Even if the government collects the property for redevelopment, they will still be compensated at market price, making them a safe investment.

Freehold Properties has more Privacy

Freehold land parcels are usually smaller in size compared to leasehold developments. Due to this, freehold projects tend to have fewer units, as can be seen with The Atelier’s 120 residential units. This allows for more privacy and exclusivity in comparison to leasehold projects.
